Just read a thing. A Top Gear thing. Here’s a link.

Oh, too lazy to read it? That’s cool. It says that Amazon is going to pay Clarkson 46 million dollars over 3 years. This doesn’t matter to you. What does is that the budget for the new show will run about 7 million per episode, which is much more than the 1.5 million per show budget of Top Gear. That’s more than quadruple, and almost 5.5 million dollars more, if my calculations are correct. Hopefully this translates into expensive madness. That’s it. Stop wringing your hands in anticipation and go about your business.

That's Robinson Cano money... They literally are paying him as much as a pro athlete. Like, an elite one.

Seems about right. Is there anyone better at falling over than Jeremy? Not to mention his astounding ability to make a funny face and light himself on fire mid fall.

I would prefer it if they only spent 3.5m per episode and have twice as many :)

Clarkson is getting paid almost as much per episode as the old Top Gear’s entire budget was. Also, 36 episodes / 3 years = 12 episodes per year.
